Niroda Bala got married when she was only nine years old. She was fair complexioned exceptionally beautiful in look. She and KunjaBehari had eight sons and four daughters. Niroda Bala was very hard working and always sided by her husband in getting glories to the family. She was gifted with such a good health that she hardly had any ailments during her lifetime. She was very much shocked at the premature death of her eldest daughter, Sailabala and by her youngest son, Jamini, who left home and became a monk. After the death of her husband she started looking after the properties, her husband amassed. She died in the year 1996 after she attained more than hundred years.

Amulya Kumar was the third son of his parents and was really worth his name meaning priceless. In his teens one day he got fishing net of his father damaged. He was so scared of his father’s anguish that he fled to Calcutta that night. When he reached Calcutta he was penniless and no one to help. He spent a few nights with one of his relatives. When one day one of the villagers saw him in Calcutta his father came to know about him and took him back to home. He was married to Nirmala of village Tutranga near Belda. But Amulya Kumar was so fascinated of opportunities in Calcutta that again he left for Calcutta. There he came to know that a Battery company (Eveready) will recruit a few persons. When he reached the factory there was already a good number of aspirants standing in the queue and Amulya Kumar also followed. After sometime an European came out and shouted “Those who can speak english come this side and others be at where you are”. Amulya Kumar dared to march forward and got recruited. But in reality he knew little English. But soon he picked up english and was promoted to become Inspector. He was very hard working, intelligent and smart. He had the complexions of Europeans and handwritings like printed ones. His so many qualities made him trustworthy to the management and he got a few of his brothers and friends recruited in the factory using his rapport. In the process he got recruited so many persons that the Manager asked him one day “Das how many more brothers do you have got?”, when he requested for a job for one of his friends from the village. During this time marriage of one of his sisters was settled and he applied for leave to attend the marriage funtion. But leave was not granted and he left the job. When he came back he was asked to beg mercy to get the job back, which he didn’t and decided to be on his own. It was wartime then and he purchased some ropes used in parachutes from a military auction. He made handsome profit and was motivated to be in business. He tried many businesses and used to attend the tenders. He took a partner when somebody told that he should try his luck in paper, which he did. After some time he started of his own. Gradually, his hard work and perseverance started paying dividend and his business grew like anything. In the meantime, he had two children, whom he brought to Calcutta along with his wife. He helped many of his brothers and other relatives to get established in Calcutta. He constructed a three storey building in CIT Road. He provided good education to his sons and daughters. His eldest son was educated in USA. He got his daughters married in established families. After death of his father he started to reside in his village with his mother and handed over the business in Calcutta to his eldest son, who had by then come back from USA after completing his MBA. With his eldest son he also ventured a paper mill in the village. He got a heart ailment since 1990 but cared little. He could not think of sitting idle and believed in being active independent of others. He remodeled the two-storied mud-house, built by his father after the great cyclone in the year 1945, into a bunglo and permanently started staying in it with his mother. He had great love and respect for his parents and looked after his mother with great care until her death. Amulya Kumar was very active patron for the Durga Puja, started by his father. He used to provide excellent hospitality to the guests, who used to assemble in the house in hundred during the Pujas. His eye got damaged due to hamaruge and he visited Shankar Netrlaya in Chennai a few times. His continuous hard labour took the toll and he got a second heart attack in the year 2000. All attempts to save his life failed. He died in Woodlands on August 22 on the birthday of Sri Krishna, whom he always adored as the supreme power of the universe.

Bibhutibhusan:
He married Sailbala. He died at very early age before Sailabala could bear any children.

Sailabala:
She was the first child of Kunjabehari. At her early age she got married to Bibutiranjan but soon became widow before she could bear any children. She arranged marriage of her sister Indubala with her brother-in-law Banabehari. Later on she used to reside with his brother Amulya in Kolkata. She was very fond of travelling and playing cards. She went to attend marriage of the son of his sister Indubala. When everyone was busy to receive the bride she had a massive heart attack and died at her age about 60.

Abinash Chandra:
He was the first son of Kunjabehari. Considering his acumen in agriculture he was given the responsibility to look after property at Rajapukut by his father. He started to reside over there. He los his first wife and married Krishna. He once encountered a group of dacoits in Rajapukur. He died at an age of about 80 when he was knocked down by a car while he was going to Bank.

Sarat Kumari:
She was the first wife of Abinashchandra. She was adored for her hospitality.

Ashutosh:
He was the second son of Kunjabehari. He left for Contai at early age and engaged himself in transport industry. He bought a piece of land in Contai and built a two-storied house, which was later converted to brick-built RCC. He helped his brothers who had to stay in Contai for studies. He had a strong sense of humour. He married his sons and daughters in Contai, except his eldest son who got married in Kolkata. He got a cerebral attack and stayed paralysed for a couple of years before he died at the age of 83 years in 2000.

Snehalata:
It is said she was married when she was only 9 years. She was a good house maker, affectionate and had a good hand in cooking. She died only one month prior to death of Ashutosh. It can be said her absence expedited death of Ashutosh who was by then became paralysed.

Nirmala:
Nirmla belonged to Datta family of in Sabang. She moved to Nikursini, by the side of Subarnarekha river, at early age when her father took an employment in the Court of local Raja there. Later the family moved to Tutranga at maternal uncle’s place. She got married to Amulya when she was 13 years old. She further moved to Kolkata to accompany her husband. She was very kind hearted and had knack for music and literature. After death of her husband she stayed in Chaulkhola but soon joined her sons in Kolkata. She died in 2007 out of septicaemia.

Banabehari:
He was the husband of Indubala. He was a freedom fighter and was jailed during freedom movement. He was awarded “tampra patra” after freedom fort his contribution to the nation. He died in the year 1996.

Ratna:
Ratna belonged to De family of Madpur in West Midnapore. She was very fair and beautiful. She married jagadishchandra. She was excellent in cooking and known for amicable disposition. She died in 1998 out of cerebral attack.

Ajit Kumar:
Ajit Kumar belonged to Sarkar family of Darua close to Contai, which is famous for cashew nut cultivation. After completing studies Ajit Kumar got associated with transport industry. Later on he started his own business. His last days were spent with his youngest son Biswajit in Kolkata, where he died in the year 2003.

Jamini:
Jamini was the youngest son of Kunjabehari. He was very fair complexioned and handsome. After completing his studies in Contai he came to Kolkata to look for opportunities. But his religious mind attracted him and he left home. Later on it was known that he had joined “Gouria Math” and became a monk. But he did not keep any contacts with the family.

Bimal Kumar:
Bimal Kumar is the eldest son of Abinash Chandra. He was a School teacher and have served different schools in Midnapore district. He had for some times operated the husking mill of the family. After division of property he purchased a land from Prbhat Kumar in Rajapukur and stated living there. He lost one of daughters who died out of snake bite. Bimal Kumar died at an age of about 65 years out of cerebral attack.

Basanti:
Basanti was the daughter of Sarat Kumari and sister of Bimal Kumar. Not much is known about her.

Dulal:
Dulal was the husband of Basanti. Not much is known about him

Amal:
He was the brother of Bimal Kumar. He died at very early age out of small pox.

Dilip:
Dilip belonged to Sen family of Purulia. He was an employee of Railways and spent whole of his service period in Anara, Purulia. After retirement he built up a house in Contai and started living there. He died in 2002

Usha:
Usha Rani was second daughter of Ashutosh. She got married to Dilip and shifted to Anara. She had some knack in music which got transposed to her son and daughter later. She died in 2011.

Deepshree:
Deepshree was born in rich “Nandi” family. Her father was a renowned businessman in Kollkata. She graduated in Arts from Women’s College in Kolkata. She was known for her sweet behaviour. She travelled many countries with her husband. She died in Kolkata in the year 2013.

Santanu:
Santanu was born in famous Chuwdhuri family of Kolkata. One of his grandfather was finance minister in Central Cabinet. He was looking after family businesses. Later on when the family got divided he started his own business and shifted to Salt Lake. He gave good education to his sons who are established in USA. Santanu died in Kolkata in 2010.

Rina:
Rina was the second daughter of Amulya Kumar. She was meritorious student and completed her MA in Political Science from Kolkata University. She joined the profession of interior designing after death of her husband and was successful. Unfortunately she passed away at the age of 54 in 2012.

Tapasi:
Tapasi was the youngest daughter of Bimal Kumar. Tapasi was meritorious student but she died at early age out of snake bit while sleeping at night.

Chittaranjan:
He was the fourth son of his parents. He was jovial and had an amiable disposition. He was never found with discontent or lost composure. He was loved by everyone in the family for his sweet nature. He spent a brief stint in Kolkata during second World War but thereafter stayed with his parents all along and helping them in managing the family affairs. He was loved by fellow villagers and family members also for his witty short jests and remarks. He lived a long life of around 100 years and passed away in January 2020 without ailment.

Jagadish Chandra:
He was the fifth son of his parents. He got initial education in the village school and college in Contai. He then acquired degree in Law from Kolkata and after brief period spent in teaching he started doing business with his elder brother (Amulya kumar) but finally he decided to join legal practice in Contai court. He was equally adept in Criminal and Civil matters. Very soon he emerged out as one of the leading lawyers in Contai Court. Side by side he showed interest in politics and social work also and soon became indispensible in those fields. He was elected the Chairman of Contai CARD Bank and was known for exemplary activities there. During his tenure, the CARD Bank established their own building. He was also the President of Committee for setting up statue of Shahid Khudiram in Contai.
His expertise, intelligence and shrewdness made him indispensible in resolving critical family issues. He adored his parents in a great way and was very dear to them. His sense of humour is remembered for long in the family. In family gatherings he often became the centre of attraction for his witty and intelligent comments and disposition. He took immense initiative in construction of new temple for Durgapuja and was a staunch patroniser of the Durgapuja. After brief ailment he died in Apollo Hospital in Kolkata in January 2016.

Pravat kumar:
He witnessed an eventful and colourful life. After completing his studies in Contai P K College he set his footsteps into the city of Kolkata. Social work and helping the distressed were his god gifted virtues and soon he became a prominent worker in those activities. In his youth he was little inclined to politics but he took social work as his ultimate destiny. He had a natural bent towards cultural activities too and was managing an Orchestra team of his own. He could play Piano accordion and Harmonium with deft and had captured the audience in many stage performances. Running a Dance School made him to acquire expertise in organisational management. He had many friends in Cinema world and he himself acted in a Bengali movie named “Ashay Bandinu Ghar” where his acting is still remembered by family members.
His business exppsure made him the Secretary of Mancktalla Market Committee and conferred on him the membership in West Bengal Federation of Trading Organisations. He was so successful in inculcating brotherhood amongst the members of the Market Committee that he was given parental respect from the fellow members. His unbiased verdict and opinion made him so popular in the functioning different organisations that ultimately he was co-opted in the Chief Minister’s Market Regulatory Committee.
He was nature lover too. He bought a farm house at Uluberia in Howrah district and took up agricultural farming but disposed it of eventually due his so many engagements.
He was among the top organisers of the family Durga Puja and mastered and executed many innovative ideas and initiatives. His sudden death in August 2018 left his followers, friends and relatives speechless.

Indubala:
Indubla was second daughter of Kunjabihari. She was gifted with a religious mind and got a natural attitude to serve the almighty God. She spent her early time at Namadiha in Midnapore but later started staying with his second son in Salt Lake, Kolkata. Throughout her life she endeavoured for finding her ways towards divinity and had been in contact with a number of religious Gurus/prophets. Finally, he got attached to Prajapita Bramhakumari organisation at the initiative of her second daughter. She became a devotee in their Selimpur ashram and her daily life was dedicated on meditation and participating in religious deliberations.
She passed away at the age 97 at Salt Lake.

Kamala:
Kamala was wife of Chittaranjan. She was loved by all in the family for her soft and amiable disposition. She used to show tenderness to all juniors in the family without discrimination. She suffered prolonged illness and passed away in January 2019.

Michel:
She was the only daughter of Manoj Kumar. After completing her studies in Kolkata she was sent to Bangaalore for studies in Medical stream. After passing out she worked in a number of reputed multi-national companies in Kolkata. She had a very strong mind and used to execute with determination. But suddenly she fell ill in December 2017. All prognosis failed and she left for her heavenly abode at the age of 43.
